Jacqueline Shannon x Cinelli track

August 13th, 2008 by admin bikes

Hey Burner!

Hello from London (UK) from a Canadian.

Spreading the Fixed Gear Love I share with you my favourite bike.

Custom Vigorelli by Mercian of Derby England.

The bike is absolutely amazing and is my daily ride. Raced in four countries.

Model 14 1950’s Cinelli track drops taped for winter but in perfect nick!,

cinelli road stem (now swapped to underslung chrome Presta circa 1950)

Vintage Campag Strada 50 chainring and cranks,

Euro asia back cog 18t,

izumi silver track chain,

fizik pave professional saddle, (now my b17 brooks)

Shimano ultegra headset

Ultegra side pull brake,

Black goldfinger right hand brake lever

Wheels:

my indestructible wheels for hard london roads:

36 hole DP18 rims laced to miche track hubs with

Enoc triple butted (yes like for tandems) spokes

I don’t even like pink to be honest and the decision to make my bike pink was partly a joke (as most people would not describe me as a feminine girl) and partly because I thought that being pink and huge would make it a very difficult bike to steal and resell. The irony is that I think the bike is the most beautiful thing i own, and I love it being pink!” Jacqueline Shannon, Lon
