Hello,
This is my first fixie conversion. I picked up a rusted-out Raleigh Technium for $20 on Craigslist and went to work. The frame was completely stripped, filed, sanded, and painted. I replaced nearly everything except the headset, fork, and saddle. The saddle was a tattered “Brooks” that I wrapped with the same goatskin glove leather that I wrapped the Nitto bars with.
The crank is a 165 Sugino XD 46t chained to a Dura-Ace 16t cog. The bottom bracket is a Shimano 52 107mm. I used Weinmann
DP18 Rims as they have a similar “deep-v” look to more popular wheels.
The handlebars are 42cm Nitto track bars with a hand-made leather wrap. I am from Highlands Ranch, Colorado and I have a photo-journal of my build at http://flickr.com/photos/tenkely/sets/72157607675813620/
